Serene Vault | Terms of Service

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using Serene Vault (“Software”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
Serene Vault is a local encryption-at-rest application designed to encrypt and decrypt user files using password-derived cryptographic keys.
The Software operates locally on the user's device and does not transmit passwords, encryption keys, or user files to TranquilPrivacy™ servers unless explicitly disclosed.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Software. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You acknowledge and agree that:
TranquilPrivacy™ is not responsible for user error, misuse, or data loss resulting from improper handling of encrypted data.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
IN NO EVENT SHALL TRANQUILPRIVACY™, ITS DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AFFILIATES,
OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT,
TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
No representation is made that the Software is free from bugs, vulnerabilities, or security risks.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TranquilPrivacy™ shall not be liable for any damages arising from or related to the use or inability to use the Software.
This includes, without limitation:
In jurisdictions that do not allow certain limitations of liability, liability shall be limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Serene Vault uses modern cryptographic standards (including AES-256 and Argon2id where implemented).

All trademarks, branding, software design, and associated materials relating to Serene Vault and TranquilPrivacy™ are owned by or licensed to TranquilPrivacy™.
You may not:
TranquilPrivacy™ reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Software at any time without notice.
Updates to these Terms will be posted on the official website. Continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
TranquilPrivacy™ may terminate or restrict access to the Software if misuse, illegal activity, or violation of these Terms is suspected.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

Portions of Serene Vault may be distributed under one or more open source licenses.
Users may:

Open source availability does not grant ownership of the TranquilPrivacy™ brand, trademarks, logos, or associated branding.
The Software may include third-party libraries, frameworks, or dependencies licensed under separate open source licenses.
Such components remain the property of their respective authors and are provided under their own license terms.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable third-party licenses when redistributing modified versions of the Software.
TranquilPrivacy™ is not responsible for:
Any modified or redistributed version not officially distributed through TranquilPrivacy.com is used entirely at the user's own risk.
Security reports, patches, and responsible disclosure submissions may be submitted to TranquilPrivacy™.
By submitting contributions, you grant TranquilPrivacy™ permission to use, modify, and distribute those contributions as part of the Software unless otherwise agreed in writing.
